This garden was put in by the students of Trent University

Here students know the importance of water as they haul it from quite a distance. Ah the life of a farmer.

Here a group of volunteers take care of the garden and invite anyone to harvest what they need for a day as is it ready.

When visiting Mary's garden we were greeted and invited in to taste the tomato sauce and indulge in homemade meatballs. Radical hospitality!!!
Colin believes that urban farming is a functional 21st century skill and wished that they taught in the school system. He believes that it is a wonderful sustainable project and that it is authentic time spent outdoors which in turn means that you are spending less money.
Colin will grow a less diverse crop of leafy greens , potatoes,carrots and berries.. But be very intentional about each of them..
